Saving Lives Through Water Polo: The Giorgetti Athletics Mission
Greetings! My name is Alex Giorgetti. As an Olympic Medalist in Water Polo and a passionate advocate for sports education, I am honored to introduce you to Giorgetti Athletics' mission and goals. Having experienced firsthand the transformative power of sports, I am dedicated to leveraging this potential to make a meaningful impact in the lives of marginalized children in underserved communities.
The Olympics is the world's greatest sporting festival, celebrating athletic achievement and fostering international friendship. The Olympic Spirit emphasizes the joy of effort, the educational value of good examples, social responsibility, and respect for universal ethical principles. It promotes tolerance and understanding, breaking down religious and cultural barriers in these increasingly troubled times.
The Olympic Games uniquely bring the entire world together in peaceful competition. During the Olympics, I intended to send a powerful message that it is possible to compete fiercely against each other while living harmoniously together under one roof in the Olympic Village. This is our contribution to peace.
Our Mission
At Giorgetti Athletics, our mission is simple yet profound: to use water polo to teach essential swimming skills and water safety to children who otherwise might not have access to such opportunities. Every child deserves the chance to learn how to swim for the joy and health benefits it brings and the critical life-saving skills it imparts.
Why Water Polo?

Introducing water polo to children in underserved communities provides them with an engaging way to learn how to swim. Saving Lives, One Swim Lesson at a Time
Drowning is a leading cause of unintentional death worldwide, and children in marginalized communities are particularly at risk due to the lack of access to swimming lessons and safe aquatic environments. By teaching these children how to swim through the engaging medium of water polo, we aim to reduce the risk of drowning and equip them with the confidence and skills needed to stay safe in the water.
