Author of a compelling sports book: Stop The Tsunami In Youth Sports: Achieving Balanced Excellence And Health While Embracing The Value of Play For Fun , V. J. Stanley has stood by its theme and his mantra that balanced excellence can be spread to all areas of life as well as youth sports to become an influential coach and speaker on the subject.

V.J. Stanley was the youngest head coach in High School hockey history for Monroe County, New York.

He played multiple sports in HS. VJ was awarded the first ever leadership award at his high school. VJ played one game at Clarkson College before 2 concussions in a week (his 7th and 8th total) ended his career.

He was the head hockey coach at the University of Rochester for 21 years. He coached youth, middle school, and club in multiple sports.

He has authored two other books on youth sports.
