Theodore “Blue” Edwards,

Theodore “Blue” Edwards, is a former National Basketball Association First Round Draft pick who went on to ESPN after a playing career. Today he coaches his high school alma mater, Greene Central High School.

Blue’s late eighties collegiate career at East Carolina University was highlighted by his selection as the Colonial Athletic Association’s Player of the Year in 1989. He was named to the Colonial Athletic Association’s Silver Anniversary Team in 2009.

Prior to ECU, Edwards starred at Louisburg College and was named to the Junior College All-American team in 1986.

He is the former Head Coach of the Charlotte Fire Boys and Girls Club. Beyond coaching, he adds motivational speaking to his solid sports repertoire with an emphasis on youth.
