Teresa Tarn,
Pickleball Coach

Teresa Tarn is a multiple sport athlete.

She elected to play softball at Michigan State University and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science teaching degree majoring in Physical Education and Exercise Science with an emphasis on sports psychology and kinesiology.

She coached basketball, volleyball, and softball at the junior high and high school levels during her teaching career and now pursues her passion for pickleball.

Teresa discovered pickleball a few years ago and became fully engaged immediately. Always a competitor, she entered her first tournament two weeks after beginning to play. A year after that start she was competing at 4.5 and 5.0 with success at every level.

Teresa currently competes on the APP Senior Pro Tour where she is a ranked player, has won multiple medals, and won the APP Sportsmanship award for the Senior Pro Tour. She also has two medals at the US Open in her first year.

As a teacher, coach, and athlete, Teresa brings a special skill set to deliver her instruction. She demonstrates her passion and knowledge of pickleball daily through lessons, clinics, and camps.

She is a confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships while teaching new skills and guiding the development of existing competencies with an emphasis on positivity.

When she is not spending her winters in Punta Gorda, FL, training, Teresa during summers, resides with her two sons and husband in Michigan her original home.
