Raphael Whittingham,

Raphael Whittingham is the sports performance coach for the Utah Valley men’s basketball team.

A Brooklyn, NY, native, Raphael has a sports performance intern with the Dallas Mavericks. He worked with the 2-way G-League/NBA athletes and developed individual programs to improve athletic performance through agility training, weightlifting, core exercises, and regeneration sessions.

Before joining the staff at Dallas, Whittingham worked as an assistant strength coach at the University of Delaware with the men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams and programmed for the women’s tennis and rowing teams.

Before his time at Delaware, Whittingham also interned at Georgia State University, Manhattan College, the New York Jets, and was a graduate assistant at Long Island University.

Whittingham graduated from Delaware State in 2015 with a degree in exercise science. He completed his master's degree in exercise science from Long Island University. In addition, he has earned Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
