Michelle Chatman-Smith,

Michelle Chatman-Smith is an accomplished collegiate, international and professional volleyball coach with 12 years of division 1coaching experience, who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results through leadership, mentorship and development of student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.

Her other areas of expertise include building positive relationships within the teams, athletic departments and communities; building competitive strategies; managing finances; creating championship culture and exercising sound judgement in the best interest of the student-athlete.

Among her recent accomplishments with USA Volleyball, Ms. Chatman-Smith has been Evaluation Coach at USA Volleyball Women’s National Team try-out; was head coach of the 5th placing team in the USA Youth A1 Team High Performance Championships, following at 8th place in the prior year.

Collegiately she was Assistant Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, University of Central Florida, San Diego State University and Georgetown.

She earned a certificate in Women’s Leadership from NCAA Women’s Coaches Academy and is Safe Sport and Impact certified.

She was a competitive player while attending The University of Florida.
