Born in Vaxjo, Sweden, lives in Hailey, Idaho.

Simply put, Mats is one of the all-time greats in tennis history. His game was predicated on brains, speed, quickness, and endurance, physically and mentally. Mats is the only player in men's tennis history to have won 4 majors before turning 21, winning his first at Roland Garros at age 17 in 1982.

Mats' is still very passionate about tennis (and now pickleball, too). He has been an avid golfer for decades.

Mats believes in practicing with consistency and rhythm and playing with various practice partners.

"I believe it is up to ME to ensure everyone on the practice court has a productive and enjoyable time during the practice session. This is how we were taught in Sweden when I was young. If all players

learn to make it about their hitting partners, not just themselves, practice sessions are far more focused, and thus bring players much better results and enjoyment."
