Marcelo Aller,
Senior Contributor

Marcelo Aller is a commercial sales executive and exercise science practitioner with 20+ years at the intersection of human performance technology, digital health, and sport science. He currently serves as Sales Manager, B2B Commercial at Tonal, where he leads enterprise adoption of the company's intelligent strength platform across physical therapy clinics, performance centers, hospitals, and commercial fitness environments.

Before joining Tonal, Marcelo held VP and director-level roles at Polar, Biostrap, OxeFit, and Total Gym, driving revenue growth and market expansion for wearables, biometric monitoring platforms, and clinical rehabilitation equipment. His enterprise network spans the NFL, NBA, MLS, NCAA, Cleveland Clinic, and Mayo Clinic. He has launched nationally recognized products, including the Under Armour E39 performance shirt, the Polar Team 2 system, and the MioPOD coaching platform, consistently operating at the intersection of sport science and commercial execution.

Marcelo holds an MBA from the University of Akron and a CSCS credential from the NSCA. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has been published in NSCA journals on sport science instrumentation and metabolic training for team sports.

He is the founder of BioInsights, a consulting platform and YouTube Channel series that connects fitness facilities, PT clinics, and performance centers with evidence-based technology solutions. On the show, Marcelo sits across from leading researchers, biomechanists, and clinicians to translate mechanism-level science into strategy coaches and operators can execute on Monday morning. Recent episodes feature Dr. Paul Juris, PhD, former Director of Science and Research at Cybex and biomechanics consultant to the NBA, PGA, and NFL.

What makes Marcelo's perspective distinctive on SportsEd TV is the combination of those two roles. He is not a researcher commenting on an application, nor a salesperson describing a product. He is a CSCS-credentialed practitioner who has spent two decades watching science get adopted and ignored inside real commercial environments. That gap between what the research says and what ends up on the training floor is where BioInsights lives.
