In 1990 John moved from his native North Carolina to California’s Bay area to help launch HeartMath and has been with the organization since its inception. He helped start HeartMath’s Corporate Programs Division and was instrumental in the development and delivery of HeartMath programs for public and private sectors.

His clients have included Hewlett-Packard, Boeing, Nortel Networks, Cisco Systems, Adobe Systems, Sears and other major corporate, educational, governmental and military organizations.

John also trained and coached elite athletes, coaches and trainers in the HeartMath system to enhance performance and improve quality of life both on and off the field. Clients include MLB, NFL, PGA Tour players, Olympic medalists and world champion athletes.

In 2008, as a HeartMath master trainer and coach, John began developing and delivering education and training for HeartMath’s Health Professional clients. With stress management, health and wellness as a focus his clients now range from cardiologists and primary care physicians to therapists and health professionals from all fields.

He now resides in Boulder Creek, California, with his wife of 30 years.

For over 25 years HeartMath has been a world leader in Heart Rate Variability research, developing evidence-based techniques and Heart Rate Variability monitoring devices for professionals and individuals to help people from all walks of life learn to self-regulate to reduce stress, improve health, enhance quality of life and performance.
