Since March 2019 he has been France’s National Sprint Coach, training top athletes Orlann Ombissa-Dzangue, Stella Akakpo 100meter sprinters, and Hassan Taftian and Ben Bassaw 200m sprinters.

Previously Ontanon was the French Federation of Athletics (FFA) National Technical Advisor in charge of overseas high-level athletics development and training missions (Hassan Taftian, Iranian sprinter; Heather Arneton length.

As FFA National Sprint Coach Octanol’s Training of The French Team athletes included Jimmy Vicaut, co-record holder of Europe 9''86, double world finalist, and Olympic Games. He has also been Team Lagardère Director of Athletics Development and Physical Trainer.

As FFA National Sprint Coach and 4x100meter relay trainer of the athletes of the French team he worked with Ronald Pognon, 1st Frenchman under the 10'', Christine Arron double world bronze medalist, Muriel Hurtis World Champion.

In tennis he trained top athletes Jimmy Vicaut, Martial M'Bandjock and provided tennis physical preparation with Michael Llodra, Richard Gasquet, Paul-Henri Mathieu)
