Gilles Lombard’s innovative research allows analysis of coaching observations via innovative methods he developed based on the use of 3D video.

He was graduated in Motricity Sciences in 2015 at the University of Liège (Belgium) and in Physical Training in 2016 at the University of Bourgogne (France). After those graduations, he became an assistant in the Department of Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Liège (Belgium). His Ph.D. concerns the study of the observations made by volleyball coaches in competition.

Beyond the research, Gilles has been coaching for more than 15 years with young people and adults, first in football and after in volleyball. He also has experience in physical training with different types of sports like football, American football, athletics, and volleyball.

Currently, he is focused on volleyball as coach and president of his club in Liège. He is also a part of the Wallonia Federation (French-speaking part of Belgium) in an advisory committee composed of trainers.
