Dewald Linde,
Senior Contributor

Dewald has made tennis his life for over 30 years, first as a player and now as a senior coach at the Alexander Waske Tennis University

From the age of six, Dewald has held a racquet, including time as a competitor on the Indiana State University team that followed an earlier junior career in South Africa representing school teams

Dewald held at one point the number three South African singles position and a top rating in doubles.

An injury forced Dewald to leave Indiana and return to South Africa, where his love for the game drove him to pursue a career in coaching, supported by a degree in coaching and officiating sciences that led to knowledge and skills in important coaching skills including movement sciences, personal training, sports massage, sports management, PR, and marketing.

He acquired International Tennis Federation (ITF) Level 3 coaching qualification and completed his TECHNE Tennis Master qualification with SportsEdTV Co-Founder John Eagleton.

During a most recent period, Dewald has traveled extensively coaching ITF at the junior, men's, and women's levels, working with tennis world-renowned names, Frans Cronje, Thomas Hogsteadt, Richard Algurin, and others.

For the past decade, he has been traveling the world on ITF juniors, men, and women's levels, and have had the privilege to work with names such as fellow senior contributor Frans Cronje, Maria Sharapova’s coach Thomas Hogsteadt, Li Na’s coach Richard Algurin, and many more.
