David Lopez-Gonzalez,

Passionate about decoding the key details of sports technique, tactics, and strategy, David López-González has developed a deep understanding of the sport of wrestling over 25 years of coaching experience and about 15 years of performance analytics career.

He has served as a wrestling coach and Coaches Educator in several States in his native Mexico. Before joining Wrestling Canada Lutte as Performance Analyst Coach in 2018, he worked for United World Wrestling - the International Federation of the ancient Olympic sport - from 2014 to 2017. He is also is a World Academy of Sports Trainer since 2014.

He is a respected international authority in wrestling performance analysis who provides advice to Olympic and World level coaches and athletes, as well as in data analytics applied to different sports and wellness research, and has presented internationally at diverse conferences and symposiums, and published in many international sport science journals.

David holds a diploma in Sports Science and Coaching as well as a Bachelor of Teacher Development. David also has certification in several international coaching and sport science certifications. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports Big Data with the academic endorsement of the UCAM (Catholic University of Murcia).
