Weightlifting/Crossfit Coach

Bridget Raach is a faculty member at Clark College, Vancouver, WA. She met Harvey Newton and learned of weightlifting when they both were at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in the 1990s. After relocating to the Northwest Coach Raach became reacquainted with weightlifting through CrossFit. She studied the sport with a new intensity and was soon producing lifters that competed at the national level. Bridget has achieved USA Weightlifting National Coach status, and she is a lead instructor for USAW’s coaching certification program. Additionally, she is presently a member of USAW’s Coaching Committee.

Coach Raach has a BA from UC Santa Barbara, an MA from Fresno Pacific University, and holds a CSCS certification from the NSCA. She was the first USA weightlifting coach to complete the International Olympic Committee’s International Coaching Enrichment Certification Program.
