Boris Bulatovic Dr.,
Senior Contributor

Physician • Researcher • Pickleball Advocate

Dr. Boris Bulatovic’s journey began at age six in Ontario, where his grandfather—a former professional soccer player and semi-pro tennis player from Yugoslavia—introduced him to tennis. When his family relocated to Washington State due to his father’s medical career, Boris continued developing both his athletic and academic talents.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington before making the pivotal decision to return to Belgrade for medical school, reconnecting with his roots. There, he completed his medical training and met his wife.

Now a practicing general physician and published researcher in international medical journals, Dr. Bulatovic discovered a new passion during the COVID-19 pandemic: pickleball. Introduced to the sport by his mother, he quickly found that his tennis background gave him an edge—and a deep fascination with the game.

Blending his medical expertise with his love for pickleball, Dr. Bulatovic launched The Paddle Prescription, a newsletter where he shares evidence-based insights on biomechanics, injury prevention, and the health benefits of the sport. His mission is to help players of all levels play smarter, safer, and longer.
