Director of Racquet Sports, Columbine Country Club

Host, KickServeRadio.com Tennis Channel Podcast Network

"AZ" played junior tennis in Texas in the 1970s, was a college walk-on at the University of Texas in the early 1980s, and has been an Elite-level USPTA/RSPA pro since 1984.

Andy moved to Denver, Colorado, in 2001. He was USPTA Intermountain President from 2018 to 2023 and Intermountain Pro of the Year in 2015 and 2023.

He does sports talk radio at Mile High Sports in Denver and hosts KickServeRadio.com, part of Tennis Channel Podcast Network, which features International Tennis Hall of Famer Mats Wilander and former Texas Longhorn all-time great Jonny Levine.

Andy's philosophy toward tennis instruction leans into high IQ tennis, putting solid, high % decision-making at the top of his priority list. "I was never a guy with huge weapons, so movement and steadiness, with

a few angles and some touch mixed in, were my go-to options. As a result, I teach what I know best, which is basically how not to beat yourself. This seems to be a good thought process for most of the club and recreational players that I work with these days. Hit big targets, be brave, and know what you own."
