Ahmed Shihab Al-Din Dr.,

Dr. Shihab Al-din Ahmed Al-Riyami is an International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) international coach and instructor. He has e conducted more than 64 coaching courses internationally.

Additionally, he has been Asian Volleyball Confederation AVC) as a Coaches Committee member since 2012. Shihab Al-din is currently among the Euro Asia Coaches Program Experts Group in AVC and Director of the Development Committee in OVA Oman Volleyball Federation.

He is a head coach of Sultan Qaboos University in Oman and teaches the LTAD Coaching Program at the Ministry of Sports and Culture in Oman.

He was the coach of the Oman Volleyball national team in the Arabian Volleyball Championship in Muscat in 2003 and Asian Games in 2016. In addition, he coached many Volleyball superglue clubs such as Nizwa, Muscat, Al-Seeb, Saham an Army team.

He served as technical Director of Al-salam Volleyball Club and won the super league 2021 Championship and was named the coach of the year in the UK Volleyball Universities Championship as Coach of Bath and enjoyed a similar award as the coach of Seeb Club in Oman Volleyball.

Dr. Shihab Al-din has several key projects in progress that include:

• Euro Asia Coaching Volleyball Program (Cooperation between CEV& AVC) in developing volleyball coaches via Euro Asia Program 2021 -2024.

• Arabian Gulf Volleyball National Federations coaching program (Expert) in improving qualified volleyball coaches 2021 -2024.

• Supervising Volleyball Training Centers (Ministry of Sports Affairs) Oman 2014 -Present.

• Developing Sports Coaching Education Program (Ministry of Sports Affairs) 2018 -Present.

He received his Ph.D. in Sports Exercise Physiology in 2022 at Shehid Bahchti University, Iran after studying and receiving a Master's degree in Coach Education and Sports Development at Bath University in the UK and a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman.

While he was studying at Sultan Qaboos University he played with the University Volleyball team for four years as it dominated all Oman Volleyball Universities Championship (1996-2001).
