Learn the hang muscle snatch from coach Bob Takano, USA weightlifting Hall-of-Famer and National team coach,

of pressure on the ball of the foot and allowing the shoulders to move in front of the bar. The athlete should stop the descent at power position and begin the lift by concurrently extending the hips and knees and plantar flexing the ankles. When full extension is achieved, the athlete can then drop down on to heels while the elbows rise upward. Then the arms change from pulling to pressing the head overhead while the legs remain straight with the knees unlocked. This exercise will combine the second pull with the pulling from the arms and finally the locking of the elbows overhead.
