10-Year NBA Veteran Joins Miami-based Sports Instruction Network as Executive Director.

Miami, Jan 10, 2019 - SportsEdTV has named Mark Strickland as Executive Director of Basketball.

The former NBA and international league standout will lead the development of all instructional content for the fast-growing online sports instruction network.

“Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world,” said SportsEdTV Co-Founder and Chairman, Robert Mazzucchelli. He added, “Our goal is to create, under the guidance of Mark Strickland, a comprehensive video library covering all basketball techniques and drills so that people can learn the sport from world-class coaching experts. Mark will help us develop our curriculum and attract some of the best coaches and players in the world, many of who he has played for or within his career, to share their knowledge with our viewers.”

“SportsEdTV is a one-of-a-kind learning platform,” said Mark Strickland.

He added, “Our goal is to make it easy for anyone wanting to learn the game of basketball, whatever their playing level, to have access to the best coaching in the world without having to spend countless hours looking on YouTube wondering which coaches are proven experts and which are just guys in a gym with a camera somewhere. Our coaches are carefully selected based on their track record of success, and viewers will get all the great instruction they need from one credible source.”

Strickland enjoyed a ten-year NBA career, playing four years with the Miami Heat, and six years for a combination of the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey Nets, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and Indiana Pacers. He also competed for seven years in professional leagues in China, Dubai, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, France, and Puerto Rico, where he led his team to the league championship.
