Ireland ATP Coach Named SportsEdTV Tennis Senior Contributor
SportsEdTV has widened its international tennis coaching cadre by adding John McGahon to its list of celebrated coaches and contributors.
“We’ve admired John’s play, and now his leadership at the highest levels will be readily apparent as he contributes to our libraries of videos and blogs,” said SportsEdTV Co-Founder and Chairman Robert Mazzucchelli.
John McGahon is Ireland’s Billie Jean King Cup tennis team captain.
“ John is also a level 4 International Tennis Federation performance coach and serves as performance director of Leinster Tennis, a branch of Tennis Ireland responsible for the sport in Ireland,” added Victor Bergonzoli, CEO of SportsEdTV.
During his playing career, John was an ATP-ranked athlete and a former Davis Cup professional.
McGahon’s education includes, from Exeter University earning Post Graduate Certified Educator & Qualified Teacher status as a fully qualified physical education teacher and from UWIC Wales, now known as Cardiff Metropolitan University, a Bachelor of Science with Honors, degree in Sport and Physical Education.
