Miami, Florida Sep 24, 2021 SportsEdTV has announced the participation of one of America’s preeminent brain injury physicians, Dr. Gregory O’Shanick, founding national medical director of the Brain Injury Association of America to its contributing concussion experts.

“Our mantel of leadership comes with obligations, too.  We see putting our education muscle behind the concussion crisis in sports as a significant contribution, and adding Dr. O’Shanick adds further emphasis to our commitment,” said Robert Mazzucchelli, Founder, and Chairman, SportsEdTV.

As a result of his international reputation in neuropsychiatry and neurorehabilitation, he was asked to be the first National Medical Director of the Brain Injury Association of America in 1996, a post he vacated in 2010 when he was elected Chair for BIAA’s Board of Directors. His contributions to BIAA during his tenure were recognized by naming him Medical Director Emeritus.

“Our distribution expertise combined with Dr. O’Shanick’s experience will make for a strong contribution to the concussion and brain injury issue in sports,” added Victor Bergonzoli, CEO of SportsEdTV.

Dr. Gregory J. O’Shanick is the Medical Director of the Center for Neurorehabilitation Services in Richmond, VA. His academic career includes faculty appointments at Duke University Medical Center, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Medical College of Virginia, and, most recently, in the Department of Neurological Surgery and the Virginia Neurological Institute at the University of Virginia.
