This punch is also known as a reverse punch or rear hand punch (Dwi Jireugi in Korean). A straight punch is the standard power punch used in Taekwondo. For this punch, you are striking an opponent with the rear hand as opposed to a jab punch where you would ... strike an opponent with the forward fist. A straight punch is usually more powerful than a jab because you rotate your body into the punch and thus generate more power.
