SportsEdTV and CPS SCORE Expand Partnership to Basketball for Winter 2024 Program, Featuring Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway Sr.
CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES, Following the success of its volleyball programming, SportsEdTV is proud to announce a new partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) SCORE to bring basketball education to 5th and 6th grade students this winter. The “Back to the Basics” winter program will feature Chicago native and NBA Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway Sr., providing students with an exceptional opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals directly from a legend of the sport.
The Office of Sports Administration (OSA) at CPS designed this program to prioritize sports education and development through fundamental skills, teamwork, and core basketball knowledge. With instructional content developed by SportsEdTV and featuring Tim Hardaway Sr., “Back to the Basics” will inspire young athletes to develop their abilities, confidence, and love for the game in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
“We are delighted to offer our students this unique opportunity to learn from an icon like Tim Hardaway Sr.,” said Jenni Dant, Athletic Program Administrator for Chicago Public Schools. “His experience and legacy bring Chicago basketball directly to our young players, empowering them with skills and knowledge to support their journey on and off the court.”
Tim Hardaway Sr., a celebrated Chicago native and NBA Hall of Famer, brings his extensive expertise to the curriculum through instructional videos and practice plans crafted alongside SportsEdTV. The program includes drills, weekly training plans, and exclusive video content to provide CPS coaches and students with a dynamic learning experience.
