Frequent Success Is Hallmark of Latest Soccer Coach to Join SportsEdTV as Contributor
Oneonta, Aug 6, 2020 - SportsEdTV's soccer coaching added more depth with the appointment of Iain Byrne, head coach of Oneonta College for 18 years as a contributor. Byrne brings more international flavor to SportsEdTV, having competed in the South African Premiere League as a player,
“When you realize that Iain Byrne coached 34 First Team All-Conference players in an eight-year period, it becomes clear that his ability to develop talent will be appreciated by our audiences,” said Robert Mazzucchelli, Founder and Chairman, SportsEdTV.
At SUNY Oneonta, Byrne became the head coach in 2004, and the team enjoyed two successful years competing in division one. In 2006, Oneonta was reclassified to division III, and rebuilt the program from the ground up.
“As a lecturer in Oneonta’s Health and Fitness Department he teaches a soccer-coaching course for the Sports Management majors and his contributions will surely have value to our coaching users,” added Victor Bergonzoli, CEO SportsEdTV.
Byrne settled in the United States in 1986 and then spent 10 years coaching and directing youth soccer organizations in Georgia and Florida before relocating to upstate New York to join the Red Dragon coaching staff prior to the 1997 season
