Hybrid Serve I - Floater onto Topspin with a Mat Learn from Dr. Gylton Da Matta, a member of the International Volleyball Federation technical development committee. The Hybrid Serve I, is an advanced variation of the jump serve in which the player combines a topspin with a jump floater with the purpose to fake the passers. In the Hybrid I (Top into Floater), the server elicits a Top Spin Serve ... but delivers a floater strike when contacting the ball. The Hybrid Serve II, is the other variation of deceiving serves, in which the player elicits to execute a jump floater but changes the strike into a powerful topspin action.
