The box drill is a great way to improve high post scoring efficiency and footwork. In this drill, the post player will pass the ball to themselves at either elbow and perform several variations of pivots and fakes to get to the basket. Post players, including centers, forwards, and small forwards often find themselves in opportunistic positions in the high post when the offense is running a high ...low motion or the defense is set in a zone. Because of this, post players need to have scoring options at the high post. In this video, NBA Vet Mark Strickland will teach several moves to execute in the Box Drill that you can incorporate into your game.
