In this video, we'll review a sequence that focuses on the post up and reset. The purpose of this drill is for posts to identify correct spacing, body control, and feel for their defender. When maintaining post position and receiving a pass, a clear path to the basket or a good shot opportunity might not be available and it's important to pass the ball back out to the wing. In ...this instance, the post should reposition themselves even deeper in the paint by using their body to push back on their defender. Often, a more open shot is available after ball movement in and out of the post.
