For example, if you are right handed, you want your right foot and right hand to be on an invisible string directly from the middle of the basket to your right foot, for left handed players do the opposite. After this is established you want your other foot to be slightly behind, but shoulder with apart from your shooting foot for your balance. Regardless of the routine you use before the shot, you want to get the ball back to your shooters pocket, explode up on your toes, extend up to the basket.
