OVERHEAD PASS. Coach Cedric Carter teaches the overhead pass. For two-hand overhand passes you want to clear space to make your passes. This simply means that you want to fake a low pass, so that you can get the defender to get their hands and body low, this will make your overhead pass open and free from your defender. For one-handed overhead passes you also want to clear some space ... for your pass, so fake low and throw high. When you are ready to make your single-handed overhand pass be sure to put a bit more power and emphasis on the pass so that you zip it past your defender. The single overhand pass happens a bit quicker and faster because of how fast you need to get the pass to your open teammate.
