PUSH & HOLD - Ladder to Success 3 - Ages 14-16.
For this third and final progression of the ladder to success for high school-aged players, Coach Henry Taramona teaches the importance of balance while working quick and agile footwork. As in progressions 1 and 2, the player uses a speed and agility ladder and begins on either side. The player starts with two quick steps in the ladder then

steps on the outside with one foot and holds the position for one second before progressing to the next square in the ladder. Always make sure the player’s arms are moving in a running motion at 90 degrees for momentum and that his or her body finds a constant rhythm. This, the toughest of these progressions is to perfect a player's balance when making quick turns off the ball in a game situation. 15-minute sessions with this exercise before or after practice is recommended for best results.
