Technique to transitioning to the net hitting pickleball forehand swinging volleys. In this pickleball lesson, coach Sarah Ansoboury demonstrates the grip footwork mechanics of pickleball forehand swing volley. The swinging volley creates more depth, spin, and power when moving to the net. The key focus of this lesson is the paddle rotation using shoulders, weight transfer loading off the back leg and keeping shoulders even. When moving from the baseline ... to Non-Volley Zone or the Kitchen, the player must focus on the breakdown of the hands and shoulders moving together, the contact point in front, and the acceleration forward through the ball. In this lesson, coach Sarah demonstrates a pickleball drill to master your swing volley technique. For this pickleball drill, the player will start at baseline. Then, the coach will feed shoulder high balls to practice motion focusing on the correct technique. The pickleball swing volley can be a hard shot without previous racquet sports experience but will allow better body mechanics, which will take pressure off your elbow or wrists trying to hit a punch volley.
