SportsEdTV exists to help athletes, coaches and parents LEARN, WIN and CELEBRATE. We don’t expect everyone who uses our learning tools to become a world champion - that’s not our mission. We do expect people who use our educational resources to become their own champion, by whatever definition they view success in their chosen sport. For some, success is making the varsity team, for others it’s becoming country champion, and for others still, it may simply be gaining proficiency at a sport that offers a lifetime of fun and fitness. To us, no matter your aspirations in sport, if you are striving to improve, you are winning! For coaches and parents, we want to help you assist your athletes and celebrate their exciting journey.
As a leading sports education media company, we provide FREE video and blog content to anyone in the world with an internet connection. We also offer a global online community, where athletes, parents and coaches can interact, connect, chat, share content and find new friends. SportsEdTV videos feature coaching from world-class coaches and athletes - many of whom are or have coached world-champions - and have been watched by viewers in every country in the world.
Robert has worked in sports and media for over thirty-five years. His passion for sports started as a young boy with baseball and hockey. Tennis took over as his favorite sport at age twelve, and he eventually earned a scholarship to play tennis the University of Richmond. He tried his hand at playing professionally for a few years, and in 1987 started his first sports marketing company, Pinnacle Promotions with a lifelong friend (and tennis playing buddy). At Pinnacle he created and managed many sports-related events and marketing campaigns for some very big brands. In 1993, he headed to advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi Holdings (which became Cordiant Communications Group), where he co-founded marketing agency 141 Worldwide. After helping 141 Worldwide grow to serve clients in over fifty countries, he headed to sports and entertainment giant SFX Entertainment (now called Live Nation), where he led the executive team creating global brand sponsorship alliances. In 2017, he co-founded SportsEdTV (with another tennis buddy, John Eagleton). Now he is again engaged in sports and media, helping people across the world learn to be better at their favorite sports through a free global media network
Victor is a pioneer in the world of sports video analysis, having co-founded Dartfish in 1999. A former commercial banker with Credit Suisse and executive at Swisscom, where he managed the company’s Indian operations for two years in New Delhi, Victor caught the sports entrepreneurship bug with Dartfish and never looked back. He was instrumental in signing television network NBC to use StroMotion and SimulCam, Dartfish creations, to help viewers of numerous Olympic Games gain a deeper appreciation and understanding for the competition among athletes. He won an Emmy Award for that broadcast work. As a former Swiss national weightlifting competitor, Victor has devoted his career to helping coaches and athletes gain performance insights that help them improve and win. Dartfish solutions have been used by most major sports federations, worldwide coaches and hundreds of Olympic medalists. Tennis champion, Novak Djokovic, and five-time Super Bowl championship coach, Bill Belichick are amongst Dartfish successful users. Now he leads SportsEdTV, where he is helping coaches, parents and athletes improve at their favorite sports.
Ciaran brings a uniquely Irish sports perspective to SportsEdTV. He brought his love of hurling to Colorado where he founded a hurling team and coached Americans how to play the game (Trivia Fact: Hurling is nearly 4000 years-old!). In addition to his love of hurling, he captained his university’s squash team, played golf on the spectacular courses in Ireland and continues to play soccer and tennis. But what he brings of most importance to the company is his command of financial and organizational planning, which helps insure that SportsEdTV has the right resources to perform its global educational mission. Ciaran started his career at PWC and came to United States with his client, Kerrygold. He transitioned into technology as CFO of Mortgage Cadence, where he guided its growth path and successful exit. He has been CEO of multiple technology companies, and now he insures that SportsEdTV successfully manages its growth and financial resources.
Sasha stands 6’6” - so yes, basketball was his sport as a young boy. However, his other preferred activity growing up as a Serbian refugee in Phoenix, Arizona was mastering the early internet. In fact, he was a pioneer of internet based e-commerce, founding an online auto parts company called Sport Compact Only in 1995 at the age of sixteen. That internet project eventually yielded over $300 million dollars in online sales, and earned Sasha a reputation as one of the early leading SEO practitioners in the world. After selling that venture in his early twenties, Sasha joined Gannett Corporation to help with their digital transformation, and also worked with XM Digital Radio shortly after their creation. He eventually returned to his entrepreneurial roots to start Executive Digital, a global digital marketing company with nine offices around the world and headquartered in his native Serbia. Sasha leads the digital development team at SportsEdTV, and has spearheaded the building of our website and outreach through social media with his partners. If you have found us and have improved because of our videos or blogs, thank Sasha and his incredible team of talented digital marketers.
John Eagleton has devoted his life to tennis, both as a player and coach. Growing up in South Africa, he identified tennis early on as an avenue to use his athletic talents to see the world and broaden his horizons. After achieving the #3 world junior ranking in 1973, John headed to the University of Miami and became one of the schools best players ever, boasting the best win-loss percentage over a four-year career in the school’s tennis history. While in college, John beat seven NCAA champions and competed on the ATP tour, achieving top-250 rankings in both singles and doubles. Sidelined by injury after college, he refocused his tennis efforts on coaching, serving as tennis director at several clubs and running two tennis academies. He coached grand-slam winner and fellow South African, Ellis Ferreira, who reached a career high #2 ATP doubles and #212 ATP singles ranking. In 2011, John created a tennis teaching methodology called Techne Tennis, with the purpose of establishing and sharing teaching methods that were in sync with how top players today play the game. Now he spends his time, together with the talented SportsEdTV coaches and contributors, bringing leading tennis instruction ideas and content to people across the globe.
